I can't say I've ever had similar interests to the girls I've dated. In my experience, the stuff you should have in common is a value system, sense of humor, and other personality traits that mesh well together. All "interests" are more or less irrelevant. But we were able to coexist very well in the middle ground because the person's "bigger" ethos is a lot more indicative of compatibility than what hobby they have. If you enjoy each others' company, then dealing with each others' individual interests won't be such a chore. Saying "well he likes baseball, and I like art, so it'll never work" is myopic.

Learn to trust it and learn to not be nice when men like this touch you. Look him straight in the eye and ask him if he'd like to keep his balls in working order. Never be alone with him until you learn how to trust your gut and feel confident enough to put him in his place, (the gutter.) Your gut is telling you that it's wrong, never ever refuse to listen to it.

Presuming she'd be "devastated." After one meet, after she essentially already rejected him....no thank you text, no follow up, ignoring him. She specifically said (later in the thread) it was THAT comment that annoyed her ...not offended, but annoyed. Because let's face it, that comment is rather arrogant and presumptuous.
