I think you have to be on the same page with regard to all three of these matters - or easily and happily willing to get on the same page.

The fact that you imply that he is trying to communicate with you and you are being cold could be turned around that you are being insubordinate. I'm just saying this because you have been through enough and I do not want to see you lose your job too!! It's one thing if it is a colleague, but you are getting into some serious problems if you get romantically involved with a superior. What if the two of you did work out and then he hired some new girl that he wanted to be with instead of you? And I know it is hard to avoid an office romance. But your BOSS!? Things would get ugly - he could try to fire you (illegal, but if he wanted to make life miserable for you, he could). I feel for you, sweetie.

Or vice versa. I'm bothered by the lack of integration in his and your social lives. He could easily invite a few friends to the Halloween event with the DJs. Or you could pre-game at a party he's invited to & then hit your party.
