Many of us women though said that they much appreciate being taken out and NOT because they're greedy!! It's just romantic! There are a LOT of threads about this recently and a few of the guys said they would never ever pay for a date or even so much as a pencil and they still get dates, so I guess it's wide open!!

I know that sounds lame but it's been a good year since I dated someone who actually picked up the phone and called me to have actual conversations. Anyway, I was happy to hear from him, and feeling better, and he asked to see me. It was still pretty early, and I did want to see him. I swear, these phone calls are so nice. Saturday night was antsy and chatting with my girlfriend at home and he called me. So I got dressed up and went to meet him down the street for dinner. He was a good guy, who wanted a relationship with me, and same with this one. Sounds corny but I like hearing his voice, he makes me laugh.

Unless he's wealthy or comes from money, this would affect most people, and if he had it that good he would have just said here, take it and go and be done with me woman. Look...If the guy was willing to pay $4,000 dollars to get you off of his back...he really wanted out of this relationship. He does not want to go back. This guy sounds like he's probably got a pretty good paying job (I'd hope parting with that money) and that's not a huge unreasonable loan for him, especially in SF where they charge you an arm and a leg for a card board box size apartment so you better have some cash because everything is so damn condensed...however, nobody likes to part with their money, especially those who got it.

etc .. And it just went down hill from there .. mind you this all happened in a day. Me and my ex were together for 2 and a half years ... I am really confused at the moment .. So this breakup was out of the blue, we were sorting out our issues and things were going well. he said I've fallen out of love with you .. The day before all this, he approached me and spoke to me about our issues and he reassured me that "this is not a break up, i love you too much to lose you". we can be good friends .. Until i said to him we should spark the relationship up - make it more exciting.

Why instead, do you choose to tell these women just to be alone? Do you really think ALL women would choose to be alone over being with a man who was NORMAL BY SOCIETAL STANDARD? Why don't you inform these posters that the boyfriend you have is in the minority, not the "norms of society"?
