I was going to suggest you get involved with a business group (like a chamber of commerce) or an industry group (Women of whatever it is that you) and volunteer somewhere doing something you care about but do they even have those where you are? The country makes it hard for me to give you advice.

But, in general there’s always room for more friends too. But I really do need to do this, if I continue down this path I will likely never meet anyone (I’m only 23, but it’s likely that this will be easier to fix now than when I’m 33). Now, the only issue is to figure out what I should cut back on, and what I should replace it with. This is a bigger deal than it sounds because I immensely enjoy everything I do and my interests are so varied that new hobbies could include anything from a book club to a flag football league. I do the same old stuff with the same old people. Obviously, the biggest goal for me is to find a girl I like and start dating. As a result, I rarely, if ever meet anyone new (male or female).

Anyway, on Saturday I did not receive any texts from her, so I texted her Saturday night basically saying goodnight. I haven't sent her a text since and neither has she and it is now Monday (but we have no classes today). She said yes. She jokingly texted to me that her friends said 'goodnight' to me too, though I have not met them. We dropped it off and then five minutes later just as we were leaving (she was off to see her friends), I surprised her with a nice flower. SO. - So I am thinking I will just wait until then to say hi etc.. No reply to that text. I texted her on Friday night asking how her day went with her friends and she said she was still out with them (10:30pm), eventually I said goodnight as it was getting quite late. She gave me a hug and texted me to say that it made her day. Anyway last Friday, we had to hand in an assignment that morning, so I asked if we could do it at the same time. We have one last class together tomorrow night.

It shows that you expect instant results and you're not even willing to put forth the effort of writing one message. I've gotten messages like that and it's insulting because the guy is basically saying "I'm bored and I've got nothing better to do, so I'm hoping you will fill a hole in my schedule." Women feel much more appreciated when a guy is willing to plan a date in advance and set aside time for her. Besides, the other way is the lazy way.
