What is happening? Do you think he is playing me? Or do you think he is just taking his time? I am really interested in him and he is different than the guys I have dated in the past. What should I do? I don't want him thinking I'm clingy but I would like to see him more. I just don't know what to do or say.

Assuming he wants to marry you, I can see why he'd hold off proposing. I dunno...it does sound like you're pushing him and no one likes to be pushed into anything.

four options:

5 and a half months later and he has invited me to hang out with his friends and we are talking every day now and hang out once or twice a week. At first he was cold and did not contact me. The end of august would mean we have been broken up for 8 months and I believe this is enough time for him to decide what to make of us. I don't want to rush him, but don't want to be on the side forever as well.

Too much time, too much money, too much false pretense because most people don't explicitly come out and say they're multidating. At least not in the beginning. To me it's just too much.
